Another Victory for Effnicks! Empty

Fury erupted yesterday at the annoucement of a Government proposal to ban Euro 2012 on the basis that it may offend some ethnic minorities. It has been suggested that flying the flag for the England team will only serve to cause resentment from other citizens from other nationalities who may not have their team competing.

We spoke to Abdul Al Kuffar, a resident of London's Mill Hill, who had the following to say.

"Very clearly this sport of football has been designed to oppress! Fucking out on you Western infidel peeg! Men frolicking together playing with their leathery balls is Haram! Having a competition to see who is the best in Europe at manipulating their leathery balls will serve only to incite and inflame ethnic minorities! We are having no other option other than to declare a Jihad! How many of you filthy Western peegs are knowing the sport of Kabaddi is also having a World Cup? But it is getting barely a mention over here in the UK!"

We spoke to Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg after Prime Minister David Cameron refused to comment on the issue citing that he had "more important things to do." Clegg had the following to say.

"Um...well...er...ah...let me see...um..."

After ten minutes getting of no sense at all from Deputy Prime Minister Clegg we spoke to England Manager Fabio Capello to get his take on developments.

"Eh? Euro 2012? Why nobody tella me England gonna have a competition next Summer?! No matter. I donna care anyhow. I only here for da money."

It's pretty clear to this reporter that the Euro 2012 finals may well be doomed. However, having said that, and given that most people will totally forget about the tournament once England fail to qualify from the group stages, we don't feel that anyone will honestly be too bothered.
