Muhammad riding in to Medina

On September 11, 2012 we plan to stage International Judge Muhammad Day. Before that time, if Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is executed in Iran for apostasy, merely for his Christian faith, we also plan to call for a Worldwide Burning of Korans and Images of Muhammad in protest.

Let’s get some arguments against us up front: “You are hateful, islamophobes, bigots, intolerant; Muhammad is long dead; it is not fair; you deliberately cause offense; there might be a violent reaction. Its a publicity stunt.”

For the record, again: We do not hate Muslims, they are welcome to worship in America. Many Muslims are friendly, honest, peaceful, law abiding people. We don’t have an irrational fear (phobia) of Islam or Muslims. On the contrary, we are some of the most fearless people to continue to speak out in public about Islam, considering the number and seriousness of the death threats and attacks we have received. In a normal war you can see your enemy, but we refuse to run and hide.

We are not intolerant of differing beliefs; Christianity and the West champions freedom of choice and conscience as we do. As Terry Jones often says, “Don’t believe what we say. Check it out for yourself. Do the research.” You are free to think and act differently, but we must remain free to speak about your actions when we believe they are evil or unjust.

Yes, Muhammad is dead, but his legacy lives on. Christians compare themselves to Jesus Christ; they are little ‘Christs,’ or followers of Christ. What would Jesus do? Why do Muslims act the way they do? Because they are followers of Muhammad. What did Muhammad say and do? That story needs to be told as fully and openly as any other leader’s story. We are tired of the double standard! What would Muhammad do?

Not fair? As with the Trial of the Koran, we are inviting any who want to defend Muhammad’s legacy to participate. Their lack of involvement will make it seem one sided, but that is their choice. Quite apart from our work and event, the world is swamped with a one sided sugar coated version of his life and Islam. Even if you don’t like what we say or do not think we are qualified to say it, do the research for yourself. Don’t live with blinkers on your brain. Think! God gave you a brain, use it! Allah did not chuck the Koran out of the sky. It is not God’s final word!

We know the topic causes offense but that does not mean we should avoid the topic. Jesus himself was an offense. Crosses are taken down, churches destroyed, Bibles burned in many countries because of the legacy of Christ. Should we stop preaching the Cross or stop following Christ at all because it is an offense?

There might be anger that leads to violence, though there is already anger and violence caused by Islam every day. But anger then repentance produces change. Muslims often claim tolerance and forgiveness are tenets of their faith. That is not what we observe, but let the Imams and Mullahs teach that and prove it. Let them repent. If Muslims want to live under our freedoms in the West or be allied to the West, they have to change. Criticism of Islam will not go away.

Publicity stunt? No, its an act of war.

TEN REASONS TO PUT MUHAMMAD ON TRIAL

ONE: TRUTH BRINGS FREEDOM

Because of the offense that usually results in any open discussion of the life of Muhammad, the truth about his life and character is hidden, confused, masked, even from many Muslims themselves. The world is in bondage for lack of knowledge.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

As in Isaiah’s time, the truth and those that stand against evil are attacked.
“...honesty cannot enter.
Truth is nowhere to be found,
and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey.” Isaiah 59:15

The controversial teachings of all leaders, all ideologies, all religions should be openly debated. Closed, secretive or duplicitous societies will always be dangerous and feared. For good reason - their intent is not good and their members lack freedom.

TWO: HABITUAL LIES

There was a trend running trough Muhammad’s life that has been described as hypocrisy, narcissism, duplicity, double talk. He lived a double life. He was inspiring and peaceful while he was in Mecca leading a new religion, then he became oppressive and violent in Medina, in the later part of his life while he was a warlord. He was forgiving and merciful, but later he sought revenge, was cruel and oppressive. Having two Muhammads makes it easy to argue for just about anything. Some say the nice Muhammad trumps the nasty one, others the nasty Muhammad trumps the nice.

In Western courts we expect testimony to follow this statement: “I solemnly affirm that the evidence I shall give shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” or some variation. If you are found to have lied under oath this is a serious crime and your whole testimony is suspect. If you have a criminal record of lies and fraud, it is hard to believe you are completely incapable of more. There is repentance, forgiveness, rehabilitation, and trust can be rebuilt.

However, Muhammad started out ‘noble’ and then went bad. He did not himself live by the ‘good’ principles he taught. He backed down from them and made excuses until his dying day. He did not only teach that lying was good. He himself was a liar, a deceiver, a fraud.

There is a sanctioned practice of lying within Islamic teaching practiced by Muslims today.

THREE: HISTORIANS IN HIDING

“The principal office of history I take to be this: to prevent virtuous actions from being forgotten, and that evil words and deeds should fear an infamous reputation with posterity.” Tacitus (AD 117)

The fear of Islam’s reprisal has cheated the world of an open recounting of the “evil words and deeds” of Muhammad and his followers. Every powerful leader and political movement that has shaped the history of man has been analyzed and studied openly by historians. From the middle, the left, and the right, through friends and enemies the past has been judged. But critics of Islam and Muhammad keep their heads low and their volumes are few.

In this void, the Clerics, Imams and Mullahs have painted their own pictures of the Muhammad they need for the day. In the West he is more peaceful and noble than Jesus Christ. Under the Arab Spring he can seem to support democracy. In Afghanistan he is angry Korans have been burned by Americans, license to turn on your allies and kill.

FOUR: COUNTER-TRAINING FOR SCHOOLS, POLICE, POLITICIANS AND THE MEDIA

“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

We have had 1400 years of ‘enlightened’ soft-Christian response to Islam which has amounted to a counter-training that effectively elevates Islam above all other ideologies and beliefs. That is what Muhammad demanded through intimidation, and that is in fact what he got. Its like a dragon in an old tale sitting up in a mountain snatching treasure and victims to his cave, too dangerous so leave him alone.

This attitude has shaped schoolbooks, police manuals and political debate, with the lapdog media in trail. Islamists push their demands through and build on their duplicity with an arrogant boldness.

It is not as if they even have to work very hard. Christians in the West have not trained their children to value and uphold the principles and freedoms that God gave us. In the void, Muslims promote Sharia and a respect for Islam and we steadily bow, all the way up through the highest layers of the land.

FIVE: ISLAMIC IMPERIALISM IS SHARIA

“Appeasing Islam has become a United States infatuation.” Terry Jones

Sharia is a way of life, an Islamic expectation about every aspect of society. It is not consistently obeyed or applied, but there is an attitude, and expectation of compliance not just for the Muslim but for the non-Muslims around them. Mosque is referenced before, and often above State. There are others who write extensively about Sharia - look at the Muslim’s own teachings as well as the non-Muslim’s. If you think it is not a threat to your life and the West, you are mistaken.

It is also interesting to follow the work and teachings of the Islamist groups in Saudi, Pakistan, Nigeria and Iran, areas of the world dominated most strictly by the Koran. Watch the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood under the Arab Spring, and its ‘front’ organizations here in America:

The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA)

The Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)

The Muslim Student Association (MSA)
 and
United Voices for America, which leads Muslim Capitol Day.

These are bold, outspoken groups that believe Sharia and Political Islam are a real solution for the world. They are powerful, popular and well funded, which makes it hard for politicians and the media to ignore. And don’t forget that their more radical elements are violent, which makes them dangerous to ignore.

SIX: CHALLENGING ISTANBUL

It is a process that started in 2010 after our International Burn a Koran Day became such a sensation. They call it The Istanbul Process. The short version is that the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) met first in Istanbul with the Obama Administration where the US Government apologized profusely for our actions, much as they have done this last week in Afghanistan, and agreed to find a way to shut us up, along with people who speak like us against radical Islam.

Apparently, protecting Islamic sensibilities should trump freedom of speech as it has done for the last 1400 years. They descended on Washington DC in December 2011 to meet behind closed doors, and now they are off to Europe to meet behind more closed doors with the EU heads. To be continued… Obviously, we protest!

SEVEN: FRIDAY PRAYERS

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.” 1 Timothy 4:1,2

We believe that Islam did come originally from “deceiving spirits and things taught by demons…” and that those spirits and demons are still at work today in those who submit to Islam’s lies. Even if you find this far fetched, consider the aspect of the seared conscience. Why does Saudi have the death sentence for blasphemy, brutal punishments for theft, stoning for adulterous women? Why did millions of Muslims react to horror of 9/11 by cheering in the streets? Why are women treated with cruelty so often in Muslim homes? Where is a basic conscience of obvious evil? Where is the outcry within Islam against these crimes? Where is the outcry in the West against Islam’s crimes? The silence screams.

Islam is a doctrine of ‘salvation’ through works. Rape your wife on Thursday but Friday prayers wipes the slate clean. Violent jihad against innocents gets you massive sensual rewards forever, all sins absolved for you and your family. Muhammad instituted the ultimate excuse for crime.

EIGHT: A REVOLUTION OF CONSCIENCE

“God does not believe in silence.” Terry Jones

We are getting back to promoting and defending what is just and right, for the sake of the victims of Islam, for the sake of our future. That is seen today as bigotry and hate. But we cannot live in silence as if to try and shield ourselves from those accusations.

In Christianity we teach that when a we make a decision for Christ and repent, a public sign for that decision is water baptism. Along with that symbolic resurrection to a new life in the spirit, we are promised a conscience revived or restored. Our conscience was ‘burned’ by years of sin with no sorrow for that sin, no repentance. Many Christians, when they are radically saved, have no problem making major changes in their lifestyle and speech because they can see the need and want those changes. They also have a freedom in Christ from condemnation, an everlasting joy!

America’s baptism? Its revival of conscience concerning the true nature of Islam and our own condition? Was it 9/11? Our encounter with Iraq and Afghanistan? The consequences of electing Barack Hussein Obama to be President of the United States? Terry Jones,’ International Burn a Koran Day? Or not yet? America could still be the last stand against Islam, but it is not clear if it will be. We do not think there is time to be silent.

NINE: ABANDONING RELIGIOUSNESS

This is an ugly world, but much of the Christian Church wants to stay in its sanitized tidy house while that world goes by. That is not what Christ did, it is not what he came and died for. He went to the wicked and sinners, with challenge, confrontation and a call to repent. The church will not come out of its religious cage with more of the same. Its got to do something different. Without true repentance and change, Christianity has a shallowness, a false mask that keeps men trapped in a tomb of deceit. Yes, Christianity is also caring compassionate gentle words and deeds. But not only. It must be both or we betray the Cross.

Our approach is not a ‘corruption,’ a ‘twisting,’ a ‘misunderstanding’ of Biblical teaching. It is a matter of emphasis. Where there is a lack of confrontation, we are confronting. Where there is a lack of truth, we are writing, speaking and (because we still can) shouting it from the rooftop.

We hear from Christians who have been kidnapped and tortured in Islamic countries, who are in jail there for their faith, who must meet in secret in their homes. There is not much time or place there for religious form and fuss, with their attackers or jailers, with their fellow victims, or the conversations they can steal with their neighbors. It is a zealous journey with a powerful friend, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And He is also with us.

TEN: SALVATION OF INDIVIDUALS, OF NATIONS, OF AMERICA

Our bold actions have led to a greater questioning of the teaching of Islam, and to individuals abandoning that belief system and way of life. As we go on, that will continue. Nations are resisting the relentless push of Islam. America has a strong nerve of right and justice still running through her.

Conversion to Christianity is increasing across the world, despite the persecution and often the death that awaits a convert in many countries. We have heard from Christians around the world that see Terry Jones as a hero, as a great Christ-like leader. They have been inspired to preach more, speak out more, to return to the basics of the bold early Christian church. We have been accused of hurting Christian evangelism, but we know of salvations that have happened directly as a result of our actions and voice. Is anger and judgement against us truly justified, or is it based on religiousness, perhaps jealousy, and fear?

Appeasing political Islam has become a Western infatuation while Islam’s grip on Western society is growing stronger. A peaceful revolution may still be possible. However, as John F. Kennedy warned, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” We have to use freedom of speech while we still have a chance.
What we do is not possible everywhere. But the church needs to wake up; the silencing of Christianity will be the death of nations.

Since we began our actions in 2009 with the ISLAM IS OF THE DEVIL sign, we have seen a marked sea change in the debate over the Islamization of America. There has been more open discussion in schools, in politics and the media about the dangers of political Islam. Much of that debate centered around the controversy we created with T-Shirts and the burning of the Koran. That is good, but it is not time to stop.

Pastor Youcef ‘s execution order for apostasy has not been stayed. Iran’s journalists and political opposition rot in jail. Iran does not care. Hamza Kashgari in Saudi Arabia is to be tried and possibly executed for insulting Muhammad. Saudi’s women suffer for lack of basic rights. Saudi does not care. A genocide against Christians in Nigeria, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, is being carried out. The world does not care. Islam rages against Israel through Iran, Hezbullah and Hamas. The Istanbul Process is advancing, the NDAA has been signed. The Media and politicians do not care.

“Apathy is the glove into which evil slips its hand” Bodie Thoene, Author

CONCLUSION

We are not at war with people. We are at war with evil in the spiritual realm. We are at war with with thoughts and teachings, propaganda and popular promises. It is a political battle. It is a battle for the freedom of Christians and America.

God save America! God save your church, your people around the world.

"The Battle Hymn of the Republic" a hymn by American writer Julia Ward Howe

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:
His day is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
Since God is marching on."

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Since God is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
While God is marching on.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave,
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of Time His slave,
Our God is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.
