Shy Not From The Darkness

Shy not from the darkness
Slake it's thirst with your tears
Satisfy it's hunger with your innocence
Entertain it with your fears
Shy not from the darkness
Cowardice is a sin
Search inside your soul
And conquer the terrors within
Shy not from the darkness
Step forward into the night
Cast asunder emotion's corrupt beguilement
And lo, the dark shall then begat the light

[quote="Oli C"]Thankyou sweetie. Thought you'd like that one lol x

The Four Seasons

Daffodils and cherry blossom,
Swaying and blowing in the wind,
Morning hath broken,
The circle of life now begins,
Swallows sing their song,
As the sun doth rise,
With the dawn of season,
The world is filled with wonder and surprise,
Mother cradles infant,
The miracle of birth,
A gift of sweet life,
From Mother Nature's Earth,
The future is uncertain,
But no dream is too small,
To the innocence of children,
The World doth enthrall,
Regrets have no place,
In this time of great cheer,
Spring has arrived,
The season of new beginnings is here.

So vibrant and vivid,
Colours do appear,
As midday approaches,
So approaches the prime of thine years,
Bright blue skies,
Shine upon a limitless destiny,
And the path of thine existence,
Is filled with immeasurable beauty,
The discovery of love,
Brightens even the blackest of hearts,
With the season of warmth,
The time for union now starts,
The soul is laid bare,
Now innocence has faded,
Bequeath thy heart,
To the arrow of Cupid,
Waste not these precious moments,
For they are fleeting and brief,
Seize the day,
Follow your beliefs.

As afternoon beckons,
The world turns grey,
Wrinkled and brown,
Leaves from trees drop away,
The sun shines less bright,
But the sun is still there,
As the day winds down,
In the breezy Autumn air,
The time for reflection,
Has almost come,
But the time for redemption,
Thou hath now stumbled upon,
This is the time,
To amend past wrongs,
The power to banish regret,
To thou now belongs,
Too late to start afresh,
But still time to change course,
In the twilight of life,
Thou must vanquish remorse.

Cold and weary,
The world has lost it's shine,
Nighttime is here,
Thou hath reached the end of thine time,
Filled with memories,
As the snow doth fall,
Tme to ascend to the Heavens?
Or to Hell will thy fall?
Winter is nigh,
The time for dreams is now gone,
From the journey of life,
Thou must now move on,
The road of humanity,
Thou hath no more to travel,
Tired and weak,
Thou awaiteth thine Angel,
There is but one battle,
Thou hath left,
The most fearsome of wars,
Thou must now conquer Death.

I love this ...Beautiful Oli xxx

Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos
The Day of the Dead
The path of life
Now alone I tread
Yet over my shoulder
Those I have loved and who are now gone
Shine their light into my darkness
And give me their strength to carry on
Weep not for the departed
For by your side they shall remain
One day we shall be reunited
And never again shall we feel pain.

Day of the Dead is a big deal in Italy. According to tradition on the night of 1st November your loved ones return from the land of the dead for a meal before once again returning. Sounds a bit morbid I know lol It's just a chance to remember their place at the dining table really. In some parts of Italy the favourite meal of your loved ones will be prepared especially in remembrance of them.

Never Forgotten

Fly away now
Upon the wings of a white Dove
The Lord is now thy shepherd
To the heavens above
Let a candle light the path
That your soul must now tread
Journey now dearest Auntie
To your sweet paradise ahead
Though they will never be enough
To keep the pain quite at bay
The memories we cherish
Will get us through each passing day
This is but an interlude
Not the end for a time will come when
Our souls are reunited
And you will embrace us all once again.

If I Had Made The World

If I had made the world
I would have done things differently
No more would evil slake it's thirst
With the tears of human misery
Each man would love thy neighbour
And wars would not be fought
For in this world of mine
Guns could not be bought
There would be no more starvation
No more empty-bellied children dying
As the Devil dances a jig
To the sound of mothers crying
There would be no more loneliness
For each would be a friend to all
No-one need ever be fearful again
Of having nobody to catch their fall
There would be no more disease
No more lives destroyed by pain
The nights would hold no horrors
And the days would never rain
This perfect world of mine
Tis with a heavy heart I indulge in such whimsy
For I know the time will always come
When I must return back to my reality.
