Apathy – the terminal illness of a once great nation, England and her people
By EnglishStandard On February 9, 2012 · Leave a Comment · In Culture, Current affairs

For many years Apathy has been strangling the English Nation and her people, it’s the death knell of a once great nation whose proud history is a legacy for many countries around the world. Apathy has allowed for a hallucinogenic haze of well being when the reality is that the nation is dying from the neck upwards. The people are still here but all forms of patriotism, pride and national consciousness have been eradicated by the hypnotic glare from the ruling British Elite.

Apathy has turned our once great god fearing people into secular tribes whose stance on religion is a popular as a Des O’Connor CD. Our attitude to our own, our once great neighbourliness, our willing to share, to help, to care, has disappeared due to the apathy clouding within our national consciousness. This is no clearer than in the way we’ve allowed are nations elderly to be cared for. These people, whose previous devotion to the country we call home has been cast aside, they no longer contribute to the national pot and are therefore herded in care homes whose staff can’t speak our language and their little pot of possessions, their gift to their own kin is ripped from them and sold in order to pay for inadequate care.

Our respect for law and order has gone, gone are the days when a policeman is a policeman, now he’s a macho, adrenalin pumping robbocop whose obsession is with statistics. You are not a person but a potential lawbreaker who will tick his box, we are all guilty until we prove ourselves innocence in the eyes of the law.

Apathy has said goodbye to the majesty of the Magna Carta whose legacy was the envy of the world, now the pied piper of Brussels plays the tune and like the children we all follow because of apathy.

Apathy has let our ruling elite lie to our faces, break pre-election promises and treat us with contempt and worse of all, we’ve kept voting the same old power obsessed, party focused idiots back in all because of apathy. It has allowed them to create a system that its first rule is to discriminate against England at all costs, it’s allowed mass / uncontrolled immigration without a thought and allowed our alleged political elite to put their respective parties before their nation.

Apathy has allowed the British Elite to ridicule our once great English traits of respect, honesty and compassion and with the Westminster conducting the establishment’s orchestra we file past, down the ramp to the supposed showers, like the musclemen of the death camps, given up all hope of the glimmer of national survival

Apathy has allowed our national flag to be hidden, our songs to be changed and our voice to be muffled. It’s allowed our history to be rubbed out from the annuals of time and our children are not allowed to know what our nation has given the world.

Apathy has allowed us to turn off from political engagement or thought, politics is the most single important issue of our time and now people shrug their shoulders with immediate contempt.

Apathy has been us look to NOW rather than respect the past, it has created the society of ONE rather than ONE society, it’s made us walk on by rather than other a helping hand or turn our head when we’ve heard the cries of another.

Is there any hope, well there is light, this is a small chink of national patriotism shining through, there is still a candle of English Pride flickering and it’s down to us to make that more brilliant that the mid day sun. England’s future, her destiny is really in our hands, we have taken the baton from past generations and it is our right to pass it on into the safer hands of our children. For it is the children of England that we must shake off this cloak of apathy for, we owe them that at the very least.
